This is a five unit train modelled (I presume) on the Flying Yankee or Streamliner train, it is clockwork. I had trouble identifying this Train as it has no manufacturer's markings so please check the photographs to confirm or otherwise my suppositions which are: The mechanism looks exactly the same as other Hafner mechanisms on the internet, the mechanism is stamped Dec 1925 and the screw in key is again the same as others on the internet so I think this is a Hafner from between the wars.

This is quite a good train but no show queen as the blue gangways between each unit are heavily scratched, but generally it is very good for a 100 year old toy. It is around 33 inches long and in O gauge. Tested working this model has a bell that works when passing over the track (the bell works but I have no track with the correct sleeper height) there is also a compartment for a battery and bulb, no bulb so not tested but the compartment is clean and the contact and retaining clip are present. Please zoom in on the photographs to assess the cosmetic damage, I've taken a few close ups to show the condition including one of the mechanism and the date. Not boxed.

Thank you for looking at my listing, if you have any questions please ask them at least a couple of hours before the end of the listing to allow time for an answer.
